K-Startup Grand Challenge
We are excited that we are one of chosen 60 global teams and one of the 19 European startups to participate in the K-Startup Grand Challenge.
K-Startup Grand Challenge is one of the largest accelerator programs and is supporting talented entrepreneurs and promising startups, to turn Korea and Pangyo Creative Economy Valley into a global startup hub in Asia. The program is organized by NIPA, Ministry of SME and Startups, GBSA and 5 accelerators. Worldwide the program had more than 2,600 applicants this year. For the batch of KSGC 2021 60 startups were chosen to be in Korea. This creates the opportunity not only to get to know a new market, but also to expand our network globally with the other startups and over 100 participants.
The program will help us to create a network in Korea, find new clients and business partners. There is also a mentoring program for financing, legal and tax issues and a suited mentorship program for each startup. We are in the batch of the Ventures accelerator that will help us with suited mentors, PR and all related questions to South Korea. For additional support, we get an intern that helps us in approaching new clients, market research and helps us with translation. We will be attending the KOMARINE in Busan, which is the largest trade show for shipbuilding and the Smart Factory conference in COEX hall in Seoul.
We are happy to be part of the Silicon Valley of Korea for the next 3,5 months and doing business in one of the most exciting markets with early adopters. South Korea is the 9th largest energy consumption market worldwide and has a lot of industry in the energy, chemicals and shipbuilding sector. The program will end on 18. November with the official demo day. All startups will have the opportunity to present their startup and progress in Korea and will be judged by a jury. The best startups have the opportunity to get follow-up support for another three months.
See you in South Korea!
