This article, published in PROCESS magazine, deals with the optimization and increase in efficiency of compressors and compressors, roughly with compressed air.
Compressed air is an essential component of industrial machines and processes. Compressors are used in almost every industrial sector and are therefore an extremely scalable use case for many industries that want to further digitize their machinery and processes.
“The “Compressed Air Efficient” campaign (from Dena, Fraunhofer ISI and VDMA) in the years 2000 to 2004 provided a wealth of information and offered support in all questions relating to efficient compressed air generation. But it also became clear – and this still applies today: There is no panacea for inefficient compressed air systems, because no two operations are alike.”
As is so often the case, this article also makes it clear that close cooperation between startups and plant operators and operators is essential in order to achieve the highest possible profitability and product fit. Companies and processes are very different, so digital solutions for this complexity have to adapt to the circumstances in an agile and innovative way and react to the needs and parameters of customers.
